Training of Professional Management and Technical Personnel at Shougang

The Professional Talent Training Center of the Shougang Talent Development Institute undertakes the training of professional management and technical personnel, thoroughly implements Shougang’s guiding opinions on deepening reform, fully meets Shougang’s needs for transformation and development, establishes the professional talent training goal of “serving the strategy to be close to business”, and mainly conducts professional talent training related to strategic development, system optimization, financial management, safety and environmental protection, audit, international business, legal affairs, human resources, administration, scientific and technological innovation, etc.

Through the in-depth practice of professional talent development and training during the “13th Five-year Plan” period, the professional talent development and training system have been gradually improved, and four types of projects, namely high-end training, high-potential development, business promotion and continuing education, have been continuously developed and enriched in order to strongly support the knowledge updating of professional talents and the quality promotion of all employees. In 2021, the Professional Talent Training Center completed 22 training programs including training courses for high-level scientific and technological innovation talents, enterprise benchmark training, capital operation theory and practice training, investment management business training, financial instrument and innovation training, and continuing education for the professional and technical personnel of the Group, with 14,427 person-times and the click-through rate of training courses reaching a new high of 90,000 person-times.

I.Focusing on high-end and high-potential talent development projects, and building a training brand

The Professional Talent Training Center deeply participates in talent development research, checks the current situation of the Group’s professional talents, designs scientific and technological innovation and financial talent development schemes to make up for the shortage of talents, gradually improves the classification system of high-end and high-potential talent development projects, and realizes the whole talent chain development of “selection, training, utilization and evaluation”. In 2018, 2019 and 2020, it held the first, second and third science and technology innovation training courses for young employees, training 154 young technical backbones; it also held training courses for high-level scientific and technological innovation talents in 2021 to provide an exchange platform for 30 high-level scientific and technological innovation talents from various units.

II.Focusing on business promotion and supporting the business training of the Strategic Management and Control Department

In 2021, focusing on key business promotion, the Professional Talent Training Center, Strategic Development Department and other departments of the headquarters, College of Continuing Education of the Talent Development Institute, School of Computer Media and Art, and Network Management Center jointly organized 16 business promotion training sessions focusing mainly on Finance, Digital Transformation and Management Innovation. The sessions included 11 key programs such as the application promotion training of the core human resources information system, information project management training, online training of investment management system publicity and implementation, etc. Through this training, the implementation of the corresponding strategies of the Group has been supported, and the professional and management levels of professional and technical personnel have been improved.

III. Paying attention to continuing education and boosting quality promotion for all professional personnel

In recent years, continuing education programs for professional and technical personnel, accounting personnel and statisticians, as well as the quality improvement of the Talent Development Institute, have been held every year, and tens of thousands of people participate in the training annually, thereby supplementing the professional knowledge and skills that professionals urgently need to master, enriching course contents, sticking closely to work and life, and helping the professional and technical personnel of the Group to broaden their vision and promote quality and efficiency.

Facing the future, the Professional Talent Training Center will continue to be guided by problems, master new industrial development trends and strive to achieve the “Four Extensions” in terms of professional management and technical personnel training, namely extending from supporting the annual business of the Management and Control Department to serving the strategic talents; extending from training to cultivation; extending from face-to-face teaching to online learning and blended training modes; and extending from scale training to key talent development. Meanwhile, it will focus on innovative thinking, improve the talent development and training system, further transform from training to talent development, and open up the whole talent chain development mode of “selection, training, utilization and evaluation” so as to provide a powerful engine of innovative talents for the high-quality development of the Group.
